DualDisc™ License Book

DualDisc™ License Book
High Resolution Graphics and Style Guides - Login Required

The DualDisc™ License Book includes the physical and content specifications and the logo style guide. The License Book must be adhered to by all DualDisc logo licensees.

Licensees of the DualDisc™ trademark logo are required to follow the style guide in their use of the logo. The guide includes permissible colors for the logo and placement on the spine and tray card. Licensees are required to use a content grid, which indicates the types of content that consumers can expect to find on both the CD and DVD sides of the disc.

Since the DVD side of the products can contain any number of premium features, it is important that the information on the back of each release be provided in a clear and consistent way. Layout, fonts and composition of the content grid are defined in the style guide along with the composition and placement of marks on the discs themselves. A companion document, the DualDisc™ Implementation Supplement, provides further recommended product components and additional style and artwork information.

DualDisc™ producers should note that there is a content specification, which defines the type of content that must be contained on the DVD side and the relationship of that content to the CD side.

Manufacturers who are certified for DualDisc™ manufacturing are required to follow the physical specification. Amongst other things, the physical specification defines the overall thickness and diameter dimensions of the disc. Where applicable, the physical specification refers to existing specifications.
